Workplace Health & Safety

Fusion Forestry operates under a documented Safety Management Plan aligned with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) and Regulation 2011 (Qld). It covers hazard identification and a maintained risk register, safe work method statements, training and supervision, incident reporting and investigation, injury management, emergency preparedness and contractor management, and is reviewed annually.

Equipment-specific Safe Operating Instructions are in place for our mulching plant, covering operator competencies, known hazards, pre-start and transport procedures, exclusion zones and shut-down. Plant is subject to documented daily pre-start checks and scheduled maintenance. Project-specific WHS documentation and certificates of currency are available on request.

Environmental

Every project begins with a site assessment before work is priced or scheduled, identifying access, terrain, hazards and environmental constraints up front. Mulching retains ground cover and soil structure, reducing erosion and runoff compared with traditional blade clearing and burning. Work is planned around environmental constraints, retained vegetation and weed-hygiene requirements where specified, with material mulched in situ to minimise waste.
